Visitors · In context

A visitor first. A name only with consent.

Start with anonymous profiles. When someone signs in and gives permission, connect their account to their visits. You decide when identification happens, and can remove that identity later.

  • Anonymous names make activity easier to follow.
  • Link returning visits using the same consented identifier.
  • Keep individual profiles private to website owners and administrators.

A closer look

Before you get started.

Can I follow anonymous visitors across days?

Anonymous identifiers rotate daily and visits in different tabs or devices may have separate profiles. Returning histories are linked when your website identifies the same user with consent.

What does the timeline include?

Recorded pageviews, explicit custom events and attributed payments or refunds. A new session begins after 30 minutes without recorded activity. History follows your account's retention period.

Who can see individual profiles?

The website owner and Stattr administrators. Public or password-shared analytics dashboards do not grant access to individual visitor profiles.

Can I remove an identity?

Yes. Remove the identity from a profile or connect consent withdrawal to Stattr's tracking API. Names and account links are removed from linked visits; retained activity becomes anonymous.
