01

Measure the actions you care about

Choose the moments that matter to your website: a sign-up, a trial start, a demo request or an opened checkout. Record each as a custom event.

02

Put an action in context

See recorded events in the visitor's timeline, alongside the pages they explored and any attributed payments.

03

Keep actions and sales connected

Custom events reveal intent. Payments confirmed by your connected provider show the purchase. Explore both in the same visitor journey.

Events & conversions · In context

Understand the steps around the sale.

The useful part of an event is often what happened around it. Stattr helps you follow a visitor from the page they landed on to the action they took, then on to the purchase when revenue is attributed.

  • Review custom event counts in your event reports.
  • Record a named interaction with a tracking call or marked button.
  • Follow recorded actions in order within the visitor's sessions.
Getting started

From setup to a clearer picture.

01

Choose your key actions

Give each important action a clear name, such as Started trial, Requested demo or Opened checkout.

02

Add the event

Record it when the action occurs, or mark a button to track its clicks. Add an optional value and unit when useful.

03

Explore the journey

Review event totals, then open visitor timelines to see the activity and any attributed purchase around those actions.

A closer look

Before you get started.

Which interactions are tracked automatically?

Pageviews are recorded by the tracking script. For other actions, send a custom event or mark a button with an event name. Stattr does not automatically capture every click, form value or page text.

Can I track a completed sign-up or trial?

Yes. Send the event after your application confirms that the action succeeded. A click event records a click; it does not by itself confirm that a sign-up or purchase completed.

Are event values treated as revenue?

No. Event values are custom event data. Revenue reports use payments confirmed by Stripe, Paddle or Lemon Squeezy, and matched payments appear in visitor journeys.

Can I see the events from one visitor?

Yes. Open the visitor's profile and filter the timeline to Events. You can switch back to all activity to see pages and attributed payments in context.
